Nature
Part of: Safety
Nature is the temperament you were born with: your sensitivity, reactivity, energy and sociability.
In everyday words, it is how you are wired. Nature is the model name, and it is one of the three parts of your Core Self, alongside Core Needs and Values.
Nature helps explain why two people in the same place learn different things. A highly sensitive temperament feels a harsh environment more, and also gains more from a supportive one.
A tiny example. Two colleagues hear the same blunt comment from a manager. One shrugs and moves on. The other replays it on the drive home. Neither is wrong. Their natures differ.
This is why we never say "your parents caused this" on its own. Every adaptation is environment × nature. Which nature leans towards which Strategy is still an open question in our model, so we hold it lightly.
